This is the most beautiful film I’ve seen in years.
Diamonds tells the story of a close-knit group of women working in a small tailoring workshop — a space full of fabric, laughter, secrets, and quiet strength. What shines brightest isn’t the dresses they create, but the bond they share.

Each woman brings something different to the group — a unique story, a personal struggle, a strong personality. But together, they become something more: a community. A sisterhood. Watching them support each other, tease each other, and show up when it really matters made me feel like I was being hugged by the screen.

This is what I dream of: a community of women who are kind to each other, who uplift one another without needing a reason.

There’s one scene I’ll never forget. One woman quietly figures out that her colleague is being abused at home. She doesn’t panic. She doesn’t judge. She simply says:

“I’ll call you every day. If everything’s okay, say ‘pink buttons.’ If things are bad, say ‘blue buttons.’
And if you say blue — we’ll come. You’re not alone.”
Then she adds:
“If anyone asks, just say he went out for cigarettes and never came back.”

That kind of quiet, fierce solidarity brought tears to my eyes.

And then there’s this quote:

I don’t want to overshare the story, but I’ll say this: it left me glowing.

I’ve already watched it three times, and I plan to watch it again. I encouraged all my friends and the women I know — around 30 of us ( “waginodrom” 😉 ) — to watch it together.
