About Me

Why This Blog
This blog began because I’m addicted to buying books 📚 and board games 🎲 — so much so that I live with tsundoku (積ん読), the Japanese word for piling up more books than one can possibly read. At some point, a friend told me that all my notes and opinions might actually be useful to someone else — so I started writing them down here.

On Bunko Tales, when it comes to books I try to keep my reviews balanced:

  • Books & what’s inside → ~65%

  • My reflections → ~25%

  • Personal touches → ~10%

📖 My Reading Philosophy
I like my reviews to be thoughtful and structured, but always with a personal note — because every story we read (or game we play) meets us at a specific moment in our lives. Sometimes I wonder: if I read the same book years later, as a slightly different person, what would I notice then?

I love comparing translations — often reading the same book in Polish and English. One day, I dream of revisiting my favourites in Japanese 🇯🇵 to hear their original rhythm and nuance. Like an ultra-believer in Marie Kondo’s philosophy ✨, I give away books and games that don’t spark joy. Still, my tsundoku habit keeps me surrounded by more stories than I can ever finish — and this blog helps me track which ones actually made it off the pile and into my life.

🌸 Beyond Books
Outside of reading, travel shapes me. These days I mostly return to Asia — especially Japan ✈️. Whenever I’m there, I feel like a glowing stick of happiness 🌸. It feels like home.

That’s also why I read so much Japanese literature, watch anime (yes, I’m a Jujutsu Kaisen ⚔️ fan), and lose myself in manga and art 🎨. Sometimes just looking at a drawing, at the way someone creates an image, feels breathtaking.

🐶 Everyday Duty
At my core, I’m a fixer 🔧. My surname could be “Call of Duty.” Even with a fever 🤒, I’ll walk my dog — because it’s my duty. I’m a doer: I don’t like wasting time talking when I could be acting ⚡. And I’m straightforward — you’ll always know where you stand with me.

💡 My Life at Home
I don’t have kids, but I’m not alone. I share life with an adorable dog 🐶 and an ultra-smart husband 💡. He’s ultra-optimistic, I’m ultra-realistic — and somehow that keeps us balanced.

🤖 Tech & AI
I also work in tech 💻, which seeps into this blog. I use AI 🤖 every day, and sometimes share short guides or thoughts here — mostly for my friends, or anyone curious but not sure where to start. I believe AI can be genuinely helpful, which is why I try to present it in a simple, approachable way.

💌 My Corner of the Internet
And so here it is: my little corner of the internet 🌍.
I hope it inspires you to discover something new — and maybe even to share your own story too.

I’d love to hear from you — whether it’s about books, movies, travel tips, or just to

Say hi!
